Fine Feathers make Fine Birds
My protagonists make a fascinating and human dream come true: To descend into foreign worlds, with a completely different identity, represented by their clothing.
Inspired by Fantasy Books, Science Fiction Movies or actual historical events, in role-playing games ordinary people become dwarfs, vikings, french soldiers or imperial warriors.
In my portraits, both worlds of the depicted persons overlap, with the intention to express both their characters in a single photo. Isolated from their co-players and designated environment, the potrayed people find themselves in their everyday life, in their private living space. They either appear out of place or blend in harmonically and tell the observer indirectly something about their true identity.
