A person's death ends his existence. However, the person does not just vanish. The body remains - the present shell of an absent person.
Before its final disappearance, the corpses is administered, inspected, investigated and handled and - through these actions - confronted one last time with its own life. Like a dying pendulum, the corpse alternates between swinging closer to and farer away from this former life.
This series follows this oscillation and escorts the corpse on its last passage along cold storage rooms, forensic pathologies, funeral parlours, crematories, cemetries, taxidermy departments and scientific collections of organs.
