The origins of this work are private photos published on the internet.

I have removed the characters from their original environment and set them in an imaginary, undefined room. The room is a matt colored space defined by a single horizontal line, placing the focus on body language.

Freed of their surroundings and re-established in a neutral space, the impression of these anonymous people is concentrated.

The blurring of the photographs depersonalizes the people and turns them into proxies or icons.
